At the end of last year, the popular franchise of Ubisoft Montreal finally saw the light in PS Vita. And did so in a quite remarkable way but being fair, with some black spots that shadowed the final result. Go ahead that Assassin completo Creed III: Liberation is a good game. This new portable spin-off introduces several new features in the saga and is also really good at graphic level. Developers wanted to provide the title of an air something different to that seen so far with the plot of Ezio Auditore and in doing so have added some details that had not been seen in previous installments. During the first time of game, it gives the feeling that we are facing a facelift of the Assassin's Creed franchise, but once tucked into slaughter, it is that in the end not so much...
As happens with "his brother" (the long awaited Assassin completo Creed III that is also now available for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC) in this 'Liberation' the atmosphere has radically changed with respect to the previous installments and now we are in the year 1765, in the prosperous New Orleans. The main novelty is that, for the first time in this popular series of video games, the main character is female. On this occasion, we embody Aveline, a young native girl who, after an unfortunate incident, lost her mother as only a girl and is adopted by a wealthy family in that city.
In his teens, the brotherhood of killers recruits her and indoctrinated to be a lethal assassin. Once adult, she uses her training to free the slaves of the yoke to which they are subjected by unscrupulous people and thirsty for power. But, as always happens with this saga, nothing is what it seems and many secrets are about to be revealed.
In the skin of Aveline, we return to again face the sempiternos enemies of the assassins who, once again, they are up in the soup. And the truth is that, after a somewhat "peculiar" start history manages to hook the player to find out more about this new heroine of the series and the secrets that are hidden in your family. Libération is a game that has each and every one of the ingredients that have made large to this franchise and introduces new elements (some of them very interesting) with the intention to bring some freshness to that seen previously. That Yes, all the mistakes that have always dragged the AC are also present in this exclusive title of PS Vita developed by Ubisoft Sofia.
For starters, has too many bugs (some may even annoy you that seriously affect the game experience) and the popping is present at every step you take. Either we struggled on this occasion of the popular "my character goes through solid objects because Yes" nor of the appellant always "even if I die I stay here twisted and floating in the air"...
While 'Liberation' is very comprehensive in almost all aspects, these technical problems I mention drag the gaming experience too often and left in the player the feeling that the game could have been more polished (the console seems to be capable of much more) and, above all, that either desktop or portable versionin this franchise is going to continue to see the same mistakes in every game that are coming out on this generation.
"If we have to go through an area full of guards, with our weapons of women it will be bread eaten..."
Worst of all is the mania meter with shoehorn actions of all kinds of absurd actions under the guise of game mechanics, as for example: "Focuses the camera towards a light" (and hopefully within two hours you can continue playing if you manage to run) or "drag your fingers by touch panels (front and rear to open a letter". Gross error, gentlemen developers. Once, two also applies. But entering such details or Yes in every mission in the game is unfair and just tiring the player and even bored him. Unfortunately, this which I mention often almost always appear in the first batch of games for consoles with certain features or technical specifications. If you have played to Uncharted: the abyss of gold have suffered also in your meat. In my opinion, is clearly an error that is repeated too often and which, in its attempt to show something new or make a "differentiator", is detrimental to the player rather than encourage him.
But, and this is important to mention it, Liberation is a game that you have positive things too. The plot is pretty good and a graphic level is a very powerful game, at the height of the Lord Nathan Drake on this same console debut. Details such as the possibility to use different costumes in according to moments of the game or be able to seduce the enemy to put it on our part, bring a different and very interesting touch. The use of new weapons such as the whip, the axe and the blowguns also bring a touch of freshness and must be also taken into account. Dubbing into Spanish is correct (without more) and the music is not bad while at certain times maybe it becomes too repetitive. I miss many things missing and lines general I left a flavor somewhat bittersweet after playing to Liberation, but at the same time think that it is the prelude to the good that we see in PS Vita very soon. Without a doubt, the best is yet to come.
